As with most people my heart goes out to the families of the victims in the shooting on Friday in Connecticut. I'm sure there is no way to describe what these families are going through. Keep these families in your prayers as two lay their children to rest today.

Christmas Vacations

Christmas vacations are a time that many people try to travel to get  to wherever their families are. Many family members of people will be on the roads traveling so keep them in your thoughts.

Disney Christmas

One of the best places to travel during Christmas is Disney. Many families enjoy the parks during the summer but an even bigger time is Christmas. The entire park is decked in Christmas lights and decorations. The only problem is its still crowded. At night a parade happens and the entire park is lit up in beautiful colors!

Christmas

As Christmas time approaches many children are being good to get more presents. Elf's have began to show up around houses to watch the kids and report to Santa. Many families will be on the roads to make it home for the holidays. But with all the Christmas cheer and buying presents for everyone else we forget the meaning of Christmas. Its about the birth of Jesus and a time to be together with family and friends. Presents are an added bonus but even if you don't get anything its still a great day. Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!!!

Orlando, Florida

One of the funnest places in the world is in Orlando Florida. Disney World is an amazing place for friends and family. From the amusement parks to the water parks there is fun for everyone. Kids will have the time of their lives and a bonding experience with the family. Its time to be together and enjoy each others company. There are rides for everyone from the teacups to Mt. Everest. It is a great time!

Aquariums

It has been brought to my attention that aquariums are just as fun as zoos, sometimes better. One of the best aquariums I have been to it the one in Atlanta Georgia. They have dolphin shows and all kinds of fish. Frogs, Whales jellyfish and so many other kinds of marine animals. Its an amazing time for everyone. Atlanta offers programs and activities for kids and adults.

Personal Picture

For a few years now I have gone to a summer camp for a week in North Carolina. Our Thursday activity consists of a hike to a waterfall. I had the privilege of taking this picture. It was really beautiful. It is great to know that God created something so amazing.

Food

In many different places there are different types of food. In Mexico foods taste different  from, in say, Italy. Italian food ranges from pasta dishes to salads and cakes; while Mexican foods range from tacos to different types of chicken. Every country has different flavors and spices that make them unique. Different foods make the vacation fun and exciting you never know what its going to taste like!

Hawaii

One of the most beautiful places I've heard about is Hawaii. My cousin went to college in Hawaii and loved it. He met his wife there but the wedding was not held in Hawaii. I have heard nothing but good things out the clear water, sandy beaches, and beautiful sunrises/ sunsets. Many people enjoy site seeing, hanging out with family, and snorkeling with dolphins. Hawaii is a great place to just get away with lots of time to be lazy and have fun!

Zoo

Obviously I am a Clemson Tiger Fan so yes I am disappointed in the game Saturday. But one of the things I enjoy doing is taking small weekend trips to zoos. Many zoos are places for families to enjoy time together and have a lot of fun. The good thing about zoos is that you are never to old to have fun. Zoos have animals from tigers, as seen on the left, to llamas to elephants, and snakes. You can see so many different types of animals in just one day and it's so much fun.   

Colombia

So for school I have to do a presentation on Colombia in February. This has to be treated very much like a vacation like I have actually been there and know what I'm talking about. I hope to do very well on this presentation but it will be very time consuming and I really need some help; so any information from you guys is greatly appreciated.

Washington D.C.

One of the best places you can ever take a trip to is Washinton D.C. It is an amazing sight seeing tourist attraction. I have had the pleasure of going where I actually took the picture that you see here, not bad huh? It is an amazing place to be except traffic. I had the oppertunirty to go when I was in the eight grade and it was a trip I will never forget. Theres so much to do and such little time to see and do everything in. Theres things for everyone in the family to enjoy. The Smithsonian meuseums are amazing fun for kids and parents too. I personally had and amazing time there especially at the Zoo. Who dosent like zoos?

Falls

Niagara falls, a beautiful but rocky sight. I feel sorry for  the person who floats down the cliff. Travel there to enjoy time looking at the view. Not a place to take small Children.

Place I Want To Go

On day I really want to be able to travel to Italy. I have done many projects on Italy and it never ceases to amaze me. Traveling to Italy could be a problem; however, considering I am not a big fan of flying. One day though I hope to make the trip and see the amazing sites like the Colosseum and Pisa and so many more. I would also enjoy getting to taste the many different types of food and flavors. One day I will have seen Italy in person.

Palaces

This palace beautiful. The colors contrast well and it would be amazing to visit. Many monarchs have palaces including Buckingham Palace in which her Majesty the queen of England.  

Foods on Vacations

While on vacations one of the best parts is the food. You can taste many different flavors and all can hae exotic tastes. It all depends on where your at as to what foods you get. I am a big fan of Italian food but it all depends on your tastes and what kind of food you like.

Rain

Today lets discuss rainy vacations. When you are away on vacation it is not fun to have it begin raining. I can say though that watching the lightening role off the waves at the ocean is a beautiful sight to see. I love thunderstorms when I am at the beach as long as it doesn't lead to any danger and only occurs once or before I leave.

In my last post I did not give Rio the respect it deserved. Rio is located in southeast Brazil. It is formally called  Rio de Janeiro. Rio celebrate Carnival every year. Carnival is an amazing festival that lasts day with dancing, food, and tons of fun. Rio is one of the places that I dream of going to. The pictures I have seen are beautiful and the Disney movie is amazing fun!

Statues

This statue is located in Rio, Brazil. A very creative place that I hope to visit one day.

Paris

Paris, France one of the most romantic places in the world. Many adventures lie in Wait for you. The Eiffel Tower and the Tour De France are just some amazing things to see. Paris holds many shops and restaurants with some of the best food in town, or so I've heard.

 

Mt. Rushmore

Although personally I have never seen Mt. Rushmore it is an amazing view. The idea came from Doane Robinson who wanted to place statues in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln hang on this famous monument.

Snowy Places

Here in the south we don't get a lot of snow but during vacations to the north we get more than we can handle. I have experienced snow in April while in Michigan wearing flip flops. Not the fun it sounds like. Snow is a beautiful thing, white, whole, and fun to play in.  There are endless possibilities to what you can do in the snow. You can build a snowman or a snow family, throw snowballs at each other, and make snow angles! So keep your mind open the next time you have snow of even see snow there are endless possibilities;  so get creative!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Water Falls

Water falls make beautiful sights to see. Most have swimming holes that families enjoy. Others are dangerous to hike to let alone swim in. To view a waterfall you normally have to hike a trail, my absolute lest favorite part. Most families who visit water falls are on weekend camping trips or just camping trips in general. Some of the most beautiful water falls I have seen our those located at The Wilds in North Carolina. An amazing week of fun including a hike to water falls on Thursday.

Summer Vacation

Beach Vacations are the best during the summer. You spend time outdoors with your friends and family swimming, laying in the sun, and most of all relaxing. Mini golf is one of my all time favorite things to do when I am on vacation; it is a relaxing but also competitive game. Another fun thing to do while being at the beach is going shopping at places you may not have in your own town. The beach is a way to keep your summers cool and fun!!!!!!

Getting to Know Your Vacation Spots

I'm Haleigh and this blog is on vacation spots. Many families, friends, and associates take summer and winter vacations. In the summer normally people take trips to the beach or somewhere with water. Winter spots normally include places with snow. Sometimes people go to the beach in winter and the mountains, or such, in the summer.
